Thanks for the SearchLink tip. Looks handy! I've seen it go by on Brett's blog but never paid much attention. I should have :)

Thanks for the review of the Mini — I' getting very tempted... I can't decide on the monitor, though: replacing two screens (27"+24") with a single widescreen sounds good in practice, but it feels like a bit of expensive gamble, while the monitor market seems purposefully designed to confused. It doesn't help that whenever anyone recommends a good monitor for the Mac, it turns out to unavailable in the UK...

Thanks again for your thoughts — I always enjoy reading them.

I should have proof read that more effectively...

Yeah, I find monitor specs to be baffling and difficult to compare. Many people prefer multiple monitors. I don't. I find it less fiddly to not have to worry about which window/app I should put on which monitor.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I went through something very similar, going from a 2017 iMac, starting from scratch and handpicking which app would make the jump to the Mac mini. I discovered a lot of new gems by looking for more productivity tools (PopClip, Keysmith, Bartender, MacUpdater, CheatSheet, Downie, etc.). It the first time I buy a Mac mini and I'm super happy with it. I'm using a 4K LG UltraFine display with it. This monitor used to be connected to my iMac, as a second screen. The only Adobe Apps I installed is the cloud version of Lightroom CC. Lightroom Classic still is on my Intel iMac, waiting for the Universal binary version. Then, I'll need to move this catalog et al which will be a pain, I know.

Thanks for sharing! I'm a happy subscriber to your newsletter. All in all, I'm an happy guy! :-)

Thanks for reading! I'm pretty happy with my setup as well. Learning the difference between software I need and software I just enjoy playing with is a lifelong ambition :)
